FIFTY THINGS TO DO BEFORE I REST

A light-hearted and hopefully inspiring look at a wish-list of things I’d like to do….. P1150885a before I rest. (‘You mean a bucket list,’ said one well-wisher.) Health, wits, and finances permitting, of course. I haven’t actually counted the things on my wish-list (fifty had a rather nice sound to it), but every time I give this talk, I remind myself to get on with things, and not procrastinate.

MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS

photofunia-memories-are-made-of-thisA fun and relaxing hour of prize-winning short stories, some from my collections published in 2016. Let me inspire you to think about your own unique experiences, and how you can pass on your memories to your children and grandchildren.

A SLICE OF LIFE – SHORT STORIES

Have you ever wondered where a writer gets his/her inspiration? Come along and listen to tales from my life as a primary school teacher and a selection of my prize-winning stories. Something for everyone. Guaranteed to make somebody laugh or cry – even if it’s only myself!

FLASH FICTION

50 words or 1000? Easy or difficult? Find out what makes a very short story work well, and where successful writers get their best ideas. We’ll look at competitions with flash fiction categories, too. My aim is for this talk to inspire you to create your own pocket-sized stories that stand out from the crowd.
